Evolution of a Logo

I was messing with some ideas for a sushi restaurant logo, using the idea of a "J" (for Japan) that also evokes connotations of fishhooks/forks/squid (all pertinent to the theme of food/sushi bar).

Did some practice logos for fun recently, not for specific companies, just throwing ideas around. If anyone has any ideas for logos let me know, I'd be happy to get some more practice.
